Once you have setup an online shopping cart
you will be able to collect payments online. You will undoubtedly
have fraudulent transactions come thru your online cart. We have
been collecting online payments for years and we recommend the following
tips to minimize your potential chargeback's.
- Call every customer to verify the transaction
- If you are delivering a virtual product then track every download
and the IP address of the person downloading.
- Only deliver product to the card holders address
- Send all products with tracking and a signature
required
It may seem at first glance that these are obvious but when you
get busy it is easy to skip some of these steps and you do not want
to be reminded by getting a chargeback.
